In February of 1946, the Vollmer brand was founded in rented rooms and now it is time to celebrate its 75th anniversary. After overcoming initial difficulties and with the help of additional know-how from BASF Company, Vollmer very early made a long term commitment towards the injection-modeling technology. This technology has been in use until this very day and still is one of Vollmer's guarantors of success. Vollmer soon became an integral part of the model railway industry. In 2014, Viessmann accepted the challenge and bought Vollmer to continue to write the success story.
